I have been involved in birth for over 6 years now and have been fortunate to attend families in all birth settings,in the hospital, at home, and at various birth centers. In 2007 I spent an entire year at a birth center internship deepening my knowledge of birth and supporting hundreds of families in pregnancy, labor and birth. I have a full life with 3 children of my own and one grandchild born last November. I provide comprehensive care for women of the childbearing age in my midwifery practice as well as attend hospital births with clients as a monitrice/ doula. The advantage of monitrice services is that it provides additional information in choosing the right time to go to the hospital when labor is progressing normally.
