| Carol experienced HypnoBirthing with the non-medicated births of her 2 children in 2003 & 2005. She was thrilled to be able to release her fear of birth & the pain involved in labor. Her experiences were quite different, but both births were completely natural without any interventions. One was completely pain-free & less than 2 hours! Listen to her birth stories in a radio interview on her website. HypnoBirthing classes started Carol & her husband's journey into becoming better informed, empowered parents. In 2007, she became a Certified HypnoBirthing Practitioner. As of February 2010, she has taught over 350 couples (including a local OB & his wife--read about their 7 hour pain-free birth at Carol's blog dated 5/26/09). Carol's personal experience with HypnoBirthing along with her education in Psychology & Clinical Social Work enhance her teaching ability. Carol has held a position on the Board of Directors of the San Diego Birth Network for two years.
Carol teaches group classes in Encinitas & Cardiff & is occasionally available for private classes. Her goal is to empower parents-to-be to take responsibility for their birth, so they can have a peaceful, wonderful birth they can remember with beautiful memories, whether they have interventions or not. Carol's group classes are usually held on Tuesday nights at Dr. Biter's (local OB) Babies by the Sea Boutique at 2007 San Elijo Ave, Cardiff, CA 92007 or Thursday nights at Indigo Dragon Health & Wellness Center located at 451 La Veta Ave, Encinitas, CA 92024. Classes are 5 consecutive Tuesday or Thursday nights from 7:00-9:30 pm. Class sizes are limited & fill up quickly. Contact Carol for more information or to sign up for classes. Carol is also a Hypnotherapist & offers clients the HypnoFertility program to help infertile couples have an increased chance of becoming pregnant. She is also trained in Birth by Hypnosis which helps those mothers who may want a medicated birth but still want to learn relaxation techniques.
