| My goal is to make your postpartum period feel less overwhelming by providing you with physical, emotional and educational support in the comfort of your own home. I have 20 + years of experience as a registered nurse in pediatrics and NICU. Through my extended knowledge base I can convey to you baby care tips and baby care techniques as well as assist and guide each family member in their new role.
I am a DONA certified postpartum doula (CPD) and also a certified lactation counselor (CLC). I have received my National Provider Identifier (NPI) which may be used to get reimbursement from your insurance company for my doula services. You will receive an individualized approach (physical and psychosocial aspects) and I will help you recognize your own values, expectations and attitudes about infant feeding and healthy lifestyles and incorporate evidence based approaches and guidelines. When needed I make appropriate referrals so that you can have an uncomplicated breastfeeding experience. My satisfaction comes when I leave you empowered and confident in your own personal, unique way of caring for your newborn. The long-lasting effects of my services are the satisfaction that you can look back and know that you made this time 'sacred' and created a strong, healthy, emotional bond with your new baby. |
