I am a Licensed Acupuncturist, who through my own experience with pregnancy, has become very passionate about working with couples trying to get pregnant and those who already are using Traditional Chinese Medicine. I gave birth to my son Jason 18 months ago and credit my smooth pregnancy and labor to the use of Chinese Medicine, massage therapy and Chiropractic care.
There is something about the energy of a women during pregnancy that allows the efficacy of Acupuncture to be that much more useful. There are many things we experience during pregnancy that can lead to a great deal of discomfort and Chinese Medicine has many tools to help ease those discomforts to help make pregnancy more of the wondrous experience that it is. Acupuncture can aid in getting a breech baby into the proper birthing position as well as prepare the body for labor. It can also help with anxiety and depression and can lower the possibility of postpartum depression according to some studies.
Acupuncture is safe and effective with no side effects. It supports our bodies to do what they were designed to do by encouraging it's natural capabilities rather than dismissing them.
