I was born in Taiwan and am a mother of an 8 year son, Sage. Over the years, I have helped many woman & children in various capacities, from being an educator to being a direct service care provider. I hold a Bachelors degree in Psychology, studied Counseling in graduate school, & was a Women's Resource Center volunteer for several years. In May 2002, after living seven years in Japan teaching English, I returned to the US when I underwent my Doula training with Doulas of California & have been a hands-on Doula since Oct. of 2002. Most recently, I have just completed DONA Doula Training & am in the process of becoming a Certified Lactation Counselor to further augment my Doula skills.
 
The birth of a child is an amazing & transformative time for the whole family, & as such, the whole family, not just the mother & child benefits from knowledgeable care & support during this special time. As a Doula, I provide the support necessary to navigate through this new & joyous journey. I am also trained in Redirecting Children's Behavior & am dedicated in helping families through this incredible transition while respecting their individual parenting choices. Being a Doula allows me to fulfill my desire to help women, children & their families in a personal & nurturing manner.
